Staff

General manager - Adam Bramburger

Adam is entering his seventh season with the Raiders management team and his sixth as general manager. He is responsible for scouting and recruiting programs, the day-to-day operation of the hockey club, and liaisoning with the public, the league, and the OHA.

Prior to joining the team, he served as convener of the Empire B Junior C Hockey League for four years and reported on the league for the Napanee Beaver and Picton Gazette newspapers for six seasons.

Adam has served on the OHA committees studying the Canadian Development Model, the franchise encroachment policy, and the proposed merger of Junior C and D levels of hockey and has consulted on the organization's best practices for media relations.

Adam lives with his wife in Deseronto.

Head coach- Mike Hartwick

Mike is entering his third year with the Napanee Raiders. Under his guidance, the team climbed in the standings both years, with a 20-point improvement in his first year and an additional two-point improvement his second year. In 2014-2015, he guided the Raiders to a second place finish and the Empire league final. He has also been instrumental in building a strong foundation for future success. Mike takes on an active role in all player personnel decisions with the Raiders.

Previously, Mike has served as the head coach of the hockey and golf teams at Napanee District Secondary School, where he teaches.  He has also coached basketball, softball, golf, and football at the college and high school level. He also runs his own personal training business.

During his own playing career, the Napanee District Minor Hockey graduate played CIAU hockey with the UPEI Panthers, professional hockey in Germany, three yaers in the Ontario Hockey League with Hamilton, Guelph, Windsor, and Ottawa, and a year  of Junior A with the Wellington Dukes.

Mike lives in Napanee with his wife, son and daughter.

Assistant coach and general manager - Scott Slack

Scott is entering his fifth season on the Raiders coaching staff.  He was a defenceman on the original Napanee Raiders hockey club in 1989 and has vast coaching experience working with the Napanee District Minor Hockey Association and with the Raiders, where he served as interim head coach in 2012-2013  Scott has also been involved with coaching in the OHF/OHL Under-15 program of excellence and previously the OMHA Under-16 program.

Scott works primarily with the Raiders' defencemen and is also actively involved with scouting and player personnel.

Scott currently lives in Napanee.

Assistant coach- Randy Holmes

Randy is entering his third season behind the Raiders' bench this year. He has also coached Napanee Minor Hockey teams. Randy works with the Raiders' forwards and power play units.

During his playing career, Randy was an original Napanee Raider and he scored 56 goals in a 30-game schedule for the Raiders.  He moved on to play two years with the Kingston Voyageurs before earning a scholarship and playing four years of NCAA Division  1 hockey with the Ohio State Buckeyes.  He had a seven-year professional hockey career in Madison, Waco, Kalamazoo, and Indianapolis before returning home and finishing his career in the EOSHL.

Randy now works in social work and lives in Napanee with his wife, son, and daughter.

 

 

Assistant coach- Dave Kerr

Dave enters his third year working with the Napanee Raiders coaching staff.  He has an extensive coaching background, including time spent coaching intermediate women's hockey and coaching within the Softball Napanee program, where he has coached teams to provincial and national championships. Kerr is a previous winner of Softball Napanee's Barry Roantree Coach of the Year award.  

Dave teaches at North Addington Education Centre and lives in Napanee with his wife and children.

Trainer - Kai Degen

Kai has served as the Raiders' trainer for 12 years.  He has more than 30 years of experience in training and holds a number of medical certifications.

Kai currently lives in Loyalist Township.

Athletic therapist/Assistant trainer - Nicole Mills

Nicole is entering her second season with the Raiders. A talented hockey player in her own right, Nicole has been also been coaching in Napanee and Stone Mills for the past two years.  Nicole is a certified member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Univerisity of Ottawa and completed the physiotherapy program at Queen's University.

Nicole lives in Napanee with her husband.
